Vestibular Physiotherapy at Home
Vertigo can cause dizziness, nausea, poor balance and difficulty walking, and may be related to an issue with your vestibular system — the part of the inner ear and brain that helps control balance and spatial awareness. These symptoms can make everyday activities challenging and may increase the risk of falls, particularly for older adults or those with reduced mobility.
Tim, our lead Physiotherapist, has completed post-graduate training in vestibular physiotherapy and has experience treating a range of vestibular conditions in the hospital, emergency department and community setting. He has worked with patients experiencing conditions such as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), vestibular neuronitis and other balance-related disorders, providing evidence-based assessment and treatment.
Mobile vestibular physiotherapy can be an excellent option for patients who are unable to safely travel to a clinic due to dizziness, nausea, poor balance or mobility limitations. Receiving assessment and treatment in the comfort of your own home allows therapy to be delivered in a safe, familiar environment while reducing the stress and risks associated with travelling.
