Respiratory Physiotherapy at Home
Respiratory physiotherapy (or Chest Physio) can help improve breathing, clear excess mucus, reduce chest infections and support people living with acute or chronic respiratory conditions.
Tim, our lead Physiotherapist, has experience working across intensive care units (ICU), respiratory wards and the community, treating a broad range of respiratory conditions, such as COPD, bronchiectasis and interstitial lung disease.
Cough Assist Machine Therapy
Tim also has experience working with cough assist machines and other airway clearance devices, providing essential setup and management for those with a weak or ineffective cough. Without an effective cough, it can become difficult to clear mucus from the lungs, increasing the risk of chest infections. These devices require assessment, setup and ongoing management by a physiotherapist, trained in respiratory and neuromuscular physiotherapy to ensure they are used safely and effectively.
Benefits of mobile Chest Physio
Mobile respiratory physiotherapy allows patients to receive assessment and treatment in the comfort of their own home, which can be particularly beneficial for those with reduced mobility, complex medical needs or difficulty attending appointments at a physiotherapy practice.
